The Last Resort Self-Defense System was created by Greg and Sean Goldsholl, and Michael Adrid. Together they have taught thousands of women the techniques they need to survive an attack.

Greg brings over 35 years of Martial arts experience and is committed to helping as many people as possible learn how to protect themselves.

Along with holding a Doctorate in Martial Arts Philosophy; Ph.D, he holds 2 Black Belts and is passionate about teaching others simple self-defense tactics that can help save their lives.

SEAN GOLDSHOLL

Sean’s training began under the instruction of his brother Greg at age 12. Over the years, Sean has achieved the rank of Black Belt in 2 different styles of Karate, and served as Self-Defense Commissioner for Northrop B-2 Division for 4 years. Sean too shares his brother’s passion for teaching others how to adequately defend themselves without investing years of training.

MICHAEL ADRID

Mr. Adrid has been training in Martial Arts over 30 years. He began training in 1972, studying Tae Kwon Do under both sensei Ted Huxley and Roy Borelli. He studied Aikido with Sensei Bob Koga (Koga Institute) and Shihan Pablo Vasquez (West Los Angeles Aikido Institute). He studied Isshin-Ryu Karate under Sensei Greg Goldsholl (American Okinowan Karate Association) and received the rank of Sho Dan (Black Belt). Later he studied Jiu-Jitsu under Joyce Gracie (Gracie Jiu-Jitsu), Justin Elison (Walt Bayless Combat Jiu-Jitsu) and Roy Harris (Harris International).

Currently, Mike is on staff at the Rio Hondo Police Academy, and for the past 32 years he has instructed officers in ‘Arrest Control’, ‘Self Defense’, ‘Baton and Ground Fighting Techniques’, as well as ‘Use of Force’ and ‘Civil Liability’ classes. He is additionally on staff as an instructor at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, instructing both Public Safety Officers and hospital personnel In ‘Verbal/Physical De-escalation techniques, First Aid and CPR.

Mike retired as a Lieutenant from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in 2002 receiving the ‘Sheriff’s Department’s Quality Service Award’, ‘Exemplary Service Award’ and ‘Distinguished Service Award’.
